I think episode 8 has just been aired on C4 (shows every wednesday).

Season 2 has just started in America, episode 1 was aired wednesday over there, and it was bloody amazing...

Every episode is amazing, it's like the best film in the world, but lasts a long long time.

i can make VCDs but thats no good when i have 4.7gb disks

If the files are in divx/avi format jo3 then you will have to convert them to dvd format in order to be watched on a dvd player.
If you need more info or help on doing this then give me a shout and I wll see what I can come up with.

jo3 after you download the film or whatever it should be in avi format.(these are the best quality) after this if you use a program called VSO divx to DVD convertor (find on download.com for free!!) this will make a folder for yu with vob files in. these are your dvd files. then you need to burn them to disc. i have found the best way to do this is to use DVD Shrink 3.1 or 3.2 ( as vso will make a 5gb folder if you convert 2 films at once :) DVD shrink will then compress this to dvd size. you need to click open files and go to the video.ts folder in the film folder!! then hit backup and back it up to disc. dvd shrink will then encode it and write it using nero so you need nero on your machine aswell. Hope this helps a bit. any Q just give me a holla.

I just bought the box set it took me 4 days to watch 12 episodes. To say it's brilliant doesn't do the program justice. I too have downloaded the first 2 episodes of season 2 and am about to sit down and watch it.

Just watched episode 3, a bit disappointed, and it wasn't even that bad. Probably just because the sound was out of sync on my copy by a few seconds and i have to wait another week for the next one.

Well I'll not go into it in great detail... It's not official, but it looks pretty strong, so don't read if you don't wanna:

Basicall, the plane didn't crash. The people were knocked out by a collective consciousness and the plane was brought down, the people cryogenically frozen. The people then unfrozen, and plane debris planted to give the impression that they had just crashed.

These people have been chosen to be the saviours of the human race. That is, they will reproduce to repopulate the Earth, when everyone else has been killed due to excessive radiation from the sun, due to a weakness in the magnetosphere, which was caused by a geomagnetic reversal, in which the poles of the earths magnetic field were reversed. This was seen a possibility after a satellite (Oersted) was launched to explore the earths electromagnetic field.

A collective consciousness on the island, which is scientists operating only on an electromagnetic level, is able to read minds, and interact with iron and other conductive materials.

The plane debris was to make them think the crash had just happened, when infact, it could have been years ago. So they can 'recover' from the crash, build their relationships, and what not. I think they would find it a bit too strange initially, thinking they had just been on a plane, then waking up with no wreckage, just lots of people lying on a beach.

I think the polar bear symbolises the polar changes...

The "Lost Theories" are interesting reading but IMO if, at the end of Lost, it turns out that the whole underlying reason why/how they came to be on the island in the first place is completely far-fetched or too complicated to comprehend for the average viewer - it will be a complete anticlimax.

It must be something complicated. It can't just end with something like "...and then Dave woke up, it was all a dream."

All of the things can't be explained IMO, by something simple.

Some of the theory does seem a little far-fetched, but I really think it is something to do with electromagnetism.

there was a fake ad for the hanso foundation with the free pay phone number on tele during the ad breaks of tuesdays channel four lost season 2 premiere, one with a usa number on abc lost wednesday the next day and one with an oz number on the oz lost showing on thursday (i didnt see em so i cant garantee).. ringing the number on the ad gives you recorded messages about the hanso foundation and one gives you a password, "broken strain", (again i didnt ring so cant garantee).. now go to the hanso foundation webby and go to the news letter bit and enter any name, it'l go weird and 'percephone' will ask for a password, enter "broken strain" and more weird typing comes up (for me this was just 'access accepted' n such).. now go to joops corner and go to send joop a message and type whatever you want and send it.. itl go wied and take u to a new page with blue circles, click on the circles that are highlighted (repeat on several pages) and you finally get a secret letter to the hanso foundation from a science board about a leaked virus.. click the signature for a second letter and then red cirle for another bit..

i love the intracacy of the lost mystery.. their also releasing 'bad twin' as a net book, some of its available already i think, tho i cba to read it..

i also looked up some theories and more info on a lost forum recently.. for me none of the theories have got it right - they're all absurdly complex, looking at little things as evidence of something huge rather then (what i think most of them are) just little things the writers have put in to add complexity but dont have great significance.. for good info about just how complex the series is, search for info about the lost theories - the collective concousness, acient civilisation and nine unknown men..

Tbh i read a very complex and well thought out theory which could work but sounds like alot of thinking behind the making of a TV show.

I think its something very simple...jus will we ever found out... Will Lost be as GOOD knowing wot is causing the flashbacks..the wierd goings on....The wierd balck mist scarying and killing people...If we find out will it take some of the fun out of watching it...As much as i want to know i more would like to enjoy the Show and let it unveil it as it goes on instead of reading loads of theorys.

i read today that there is a book out that is supposed to be written by someone that was on the plane that crashed. i think the manuscript was found in the show and now someone has written a story. it was called bad twin by gary troup which happens to be an anagram of purgatory! The first scene in Season 2 is a flashback, and not in realtime (which is how the producers want you to think) thats the huge twist in Season 2 which we'll see (i think) in the conclusion of Season 2.

i.e. The explosion you hear at the end of that sequence is a past event, probably before the losties ever arrived. Theres alot of proof for that, but you can ultimatly do it yourself in the first 2 episodes. It's a simple case of 'spot the difference'.

To give you an example, take a screencap of the record player in the opening sequence, and then compare it the the record player that Desmon uses near the end of Episode 2 to confuse Jack.

yes but from what we've seen so far in lost it could well be that the small island is invisible from the big, there aren't two islands and it's simply a mind game with sawyer or simply russo just hasn't mentioned it..
