01.09.05 *** Danny has redone a portal and work is continuing to theme, style and rework the current layout to get it back to what we know and love.

*** Site is live and kicking (ahahahahahahahaha Gordon the Gopher)

*** Seems slow, does everyone else get this problem? We dont know whats causing this though.

PS Will eveyone thank Danny as he's doing pretty much all of the legwork and thank Soup and Devil (and anyone else i forgot) for trying to get this sorted ASAP.

You missed me off in the Admins list Danny, ok mebbe not I dunno. I only just got back from 4 days away but had been pretty annoyed at the fact the site had crashed. Anyway, thanks for getting it back up as soon as possible, and yeah it's pretty slow loading up the portal, and then it seems ok loading other pages.

Does this site have crap loadsa inactive users, That might clear up some space, since the forums are jam packed with threads cant you clear up some of the old stuff and see if that works?

this thread is from last year and did thankfully give us this shiney new layout by danny.. there was a crash that removed several user details, including my originals, in january/febuary 2005 too.. i can't say i've noticed it being paticularly slow of recent though..

im sure it has something to do with the dns servers, the domain is reg with 1&1 and their dns are in germany i think?
