One of the most anticipated games of all time was released in Japan last month, it dwarfed everything else in sales including the acclaimed and anticipated 'Devil May Cry 4' and 'Wii fit', breaking records by selling half a million copies in one day and receiving some perfect scores from critics. I've been looking forward to 'Super Smash Bros. Brawl' for a years now, its prequel, '...Melee' on the GameCube, is one of favourite games ever and I am dying of anticipation of the UK release in May. As in apology for the late release of brawl, Europe is getting April releases of 'Wii fit' and 'Mario-Kart Wii' before the US. Brawl seems to be living up to it's immense hype and if Mario-Kart does anything like the same then I'd suggest anyone sitting on the fence about getting a Wii should pick one up in the next couple of months if only for these two games. Brawl is released in the US at the end of the week, here's a big US media sites review of the game: http://uk.wii.ign.com/articles/856/856580p4.html ..

"Nintendo of America announced on Monday that Super Smash Bros. Brawl has become the fastest-selling game in the comaany's long history. More than 1.4 million gamers have purchased the fighter since its release on March 9, according to the publisher. Approximately 874,000 people, meanwhile, bought the game on the first day. The Big N added that Brawl has sold at a rate of approximately 120 units per minute since it shipped."

I didn't anticipate just how well GTA4 would do and some records Brawl had broken or looked like breaking were smashed by the Rockstar game, but after a couple more delays Brawl gets its UK release tomorrow, and given that it's already done so well, both in terms of sales and critical and public acclaim, you can expect a big seller. As I ordered my copy at the start of April after looking forward to the the game for so long my excitement has waned slightly every time the UK release was pushed back, I'm still enthusiastic though and given that my copy was dispatched in the afternoon today I think I might cry if it doesn't arrive tomorrow.

Oh and Mario Kart was great, though a bit too dependent on lucky items, its fun, there's lots to do and online racing and battle works.
